Reports That PREP Cigarettes Do Not Lower Cancer Risk
Tobacco company’s new brand PREP stated, “May prevent less of risk of cancer associated with smoking,” but a study done by Dr. James F. Pankow claims that the difference is not meaningfully lower.
One of the reasons that the studies claim such is because we do not know all the direct causes of cancer, so, although PREP may have cut things out such as formaldehyde, arsenic and cadmium, it is still unknown to what degree the effect it has had on cancer.

Ahh ! What to say ! But I’ll say something anyway…
I started smoking at the age of 7 (does it sound
frightening to you ?), taught by my old man, sharing
both his hand-rolled cagarettes as well as tobacco.
Am 59 now. Still smoking…cigar, pipe, cigarette…
But I smoked much lesser since my retirement (7 years
ago). My record was 3 packets (60 sticks) per day,
during my varsity day when I’d to work 10 hours each
night as a part-time construction worker to support
my U study during the day.
I don’t have any problem yet. Very unlikely to affect
me. Just positive thinking that’s all.
Unlike some of my friends I’ve never thought about
“Quit Smoking” in my entire life. Nearly ALL of my friends ran into trouble during the transistional
period-from heavy smoking to no smoking. Many of
them died a few years after—NOT cancer but some
other complications.
And, I’ve quite a few friends died of lung cancer
although they NEVER smoke in their entire lives !
One more point–I’ve many Japanese friends who
are in their late 80’s, heavy smokers (for 50/60 years), still enjoying smoking and living like
many in their 40’s !
It’s time to suck my pipe.
Live is short. Just enjoy doing what you really enjoy.
